Horace Blaster breathes new life into “Interlude”, one of my ever favorite tracks, turning it into a 30mn meditative soundscape with aquatic, evolutive endless patterns, then activating it with powerful bass rhythmics.
The soundtrack comes with a limited edition of 7 ceramic fragments, each revealing a part of the story behind the soundscape, that you can purchase exclusively through Metalabel to support the editing.world.grid laboratory.

“Interlude” was written In 2020 at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris)
during a musical residency with Josèfa Ntjam,
Fallon Mayanja And Aho Ssan.
Today, Horace makes it shine under a new light, with a soundscape edit, to renew sonic focus and tranquility.
Horace Blaster is a musician and artist based in Geneva, Switzerland. His practice is centered on ceramics and poetry, always dabbled with left-field electronic music.
Here’s what he has to say about this release:
“When listening to Gravity.drafts by my friend Hugo, I felt inexplicably fascinated by a 2-min track called Interlude. Simple and raw, it haunted me to the point I listened to it hours on end, set it up as my ringtone and alarm clock and so on. Years later, Hugo and I are still researching. and I was drawn back to this track and worked on a few stretch edits.
Originally a short, rhythmic, analogic piece, it turned into a suspended soundscape, painting a motionless, eternal change. Evergrowing and frozen at the same time, it is a portrait of impermanence, a testament to reality.
An audio file is by essence a simple burst of electricity, magnetic and fragile. A small piece of glazed earth is more durable, but also doomed by the law of entropy in the long run.
It felt natural for us to re-release the track with an augmented edition, including a physical object and a text, to amplify and accelerate the original vibration of our work.
This micro-edition is a meeting at both ends, an assemblage to make artistics ideas and passions come full-circle."
